Why are other RO systems so wasteful?
In most households, conventional RO systems consistently operate at their lowest level of efficiency, wasting up to 24 gallons of water for every gallon of filtered water produced. How? We all drink water one glass at a time. When a glass of water is drawn from a traditional RO system, the system will then try to ‘top off’ the reservoir. Because significant backpressure has built up in the almost full reservoir, it is difficult for water to enter. Instead, gallons of water are simply pushed back down the drain before a single gallon is produced for drinking. Thanks to the Circle’s innovative features, this back pressure is no longer an issue—which is why the Circle is up to 10 times more efficient!

The H2O+ Circle Triple Filter Replacement Pack includes the Sediment, Pre-Carbon Plus, and Post Carbon Block filters. These three filters together with the RO Membrane filter reduce harmful VOCs, chlorine, fluoride, heavy metals, cysts, industrial chemicals, bad taste, and odor in the water. The filters are simple to replace with an easy twist and seal system. The LED filter change indicator included in the provided faucet will let you know when it’s time to change the filters. Recommended triple filter replacement is every 6 months.

How does reverse osmosis (RO) technology work?RO systems strip the water of most everything, including many beneficial minerals, using its specialized RO membrane that has a filter pore size of .0001 microns in diameter. RO systems can be necessary to remove certain contaminants in various parts of the country. They are also necessary for removing fluoride in your water, should that be a priority for you. Issues with typical RO systems include: they can waste up to 24 gallons of water for every 1 gallon of drinkable water, and they can be expensive and complex to install. The Brondell Circle RO system reduces these problems, is up to 10 times more efficient than other systems, and wastes less than 2 gallons of water per 1 gallon of drinking water produced. The Circle also has an integrated tank and sophisticated non-electrical design. Do the Circle and Capella RO systems remove fluoride?Yes, the Brondell H2O+ Circle Reverse Osmosis system and Capella Reverse Osmosis system remove fluoride from water and is certified by the WQA (Water Quality Association) for Fluoride reduction. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral found in many foods and water. Fluoride helps to promote dental health and has other beneficial qualities when present in small quantities, as found in most municipal water systems, usually in the form of sodium fluoride. However, we realize that some people still want to completely remove fluoride from their drinking water. The Brondell H2O+ Circle Reverse Osmosis system and Capella Reverse Osmosis system remove fluoride from water and are certified by the WQA (Water Quality Association) for Fluoride reduction. Our non-RO systems, such as the Cypress, Pearl, and Coral, leave the mineral in. It’s very rare to find quality filtration systems, other than reverse osmosis systems, that are capable of removing any substantial amount of fluoride from drinking water. Beware of uncertified claims from manufacturers claiming to remove fluoride with non-RO systems. |
Do the Circle and Capella RO systems remove sodium?Yes, the Circle RO system and Capella RO system will significantly reduce or eliminate sodium and aqueous salts. |
Do the Circle and Capella RO systems re-mineralize the filtered water?No, the Circle and Capella RO systems do not re-mineralize the filtered water. Needed minerals can be consumed through food by eating a healthy, balanced diet. |
Do the Circle and Capella RO system remove Perfluorinated Chemicals (PFCs, PFAs, PFOA/PFOS) from drinking water?Only the Capella is certified by WQA testing for removing these chemical contaminants. |
Will the Circle or Capella RO system get my TDS reading down to zero?The TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) reading will not go to absolute zero. The Circle and Capella systems can lower the TDS readings of tap water by 90%. After water moves through the pre-filter, carbon block filter, and RO Membrane, the TDS reading will be significantly reduced. After this, the water moves through a final carbon block filter before exiting the faucet. At the last filter stage, the water can pick up a small amount of TDS particles from the carbon and is normal and proper functionality. |
